After the game, the king and the pawn go into the same box

After the game, the king and the pawn go into the same box. —Italian proverb

from “Checkmate: The Bowers Files” by Steven James

Interesting proverb.  Even more so when it’s applied to people, instead of chess pieces.

After the game, the king and the pawn go into the same box

Notice – it’s a lower case “k” on king.
That means it’s not Jesus as The king – it’s the “kings” in life.
The pawns – that’s the pawns in life.
Like the rich and the poor.
Like the powerful and the weak.
Like the oppressor and the oppressed.

Whatever the case may be, at the end of this life. if we have accepted the gift of salvation from The King – Jesus –
we all go to the same place.

Whether king or pawn in life –
The King is the way to Heaven –
for all of us.
